What's the story behind Black Jack?
It has become a New Orleans tradition for many local roasters to blend their coffee with chicory, the root of a blue-flowered perennial plant. The strong local connection with chicory dates back to the Civil War at a time when Louisianans had to get creative as a Union naval blockade cut off the port of New Orleans from the rest of the world. Some went to great lengths to stretch out the limited supply of coffee...Acorns, beets, parsnips, and chicory were all turned to as additions at this time. Burnt sugar was also sold to coffee dealers and houses under the name of "black jack".
Throughout the creation process for this energizing scrub, we wanted to make sure we paid homage to the city that we source our ingredients, hence the name "Black Jack Coffee Scrub".

TO USE: Gently apply to wet skin + allow to absorb for 3-5 minutes. Thoroughly rinse with warm water.

Carrier Oil Blend: Combination of EVOO, Sunflower, & Sweet Almond Oil contains fatty acids + Vitamins A, D, & E. These oils are easily absorbed, leaving skin soft + conditioned.
